Three Harmony South Texas District Campuses Celebrate A Ratings and National Recognition

Harmony campuses in San Antonio, Brownsville and Laredo earn A ratings from the Texas Education Agency and rank among the nation’s best high schools by U.S. News & World Report

Three Harmony Public Schools campuses in South Texas are celebrating major academic achievements, earning A ratings from the Texas Education Agency and recognition among the nation’s best high schools by U.S. News & World Report.

Harmony Science Academy-San Antonio, Harmony School of Innovation-Brownsville and Harmony School of Excellence-Laredo each earned an A in the latest TEA accountability ratings. The three campuses also are ranked among the nation’s best high schools by U.S. News & World Report.

The accomplishments highlight the continued academic success of Harmony students and educators across South Texas.

Harmony Science Academy-San Antonio

Harmony Science Academy-San Antonio earned an overall scaled score of 93 out of 100 from TEA.

The Pre-K3 through 12th-grade campus serves a student population in which 79.6% are economically disadvantaged and 31% are emergent bilingual. The campus earned a 93 in School Progress and a 94 in Closing the Gaps, which evaluates outcomes across student groups, including emergent bilingual students and students receiving special education services.

Harmony Science Academy-San Antonio also earned all seven TEA distinctions available to the campus:

• Academic Achievement in Reading/Language Arts
• Academic Achievement in Mathematics
• Academic Achievement in Science
• Academic Achievement in Social Studies
• Top 25 Percent: Comparative Academic Growth
• Top 25 Percent: Comparative Closing the Gaps
• Postsecondary Readiness

Harmony School of Innovation-Brownsville

Harmony School of Innovation-Brownsville earned an overall scaled score of 94 out of 100, marking the fifth consecutive rated year the campus has earned an A rating from TEA.

The campus serves a student population in which 88% are economically disadvantaged and 37.3% are emergent bilingual.

Harmony School of Innovation-Brownsville earned a 91 in Student Achievement and a 92 in Closing the Gaps. The campus also earned six TEA distinctions.

Harmony School of Excellence-Laredo

Harmony School of Excellence-Laredo earned an overall scaled score of 94 out of 100, also marking the fifth consecutive rated year the campus has earned an A rating from TEA.

At the campus, 88.6% of students are economically disadvantaged and 55.5% are emergent bilingual.

Harmony School of Excellence-Laredo earned a 91 in Student Achievement and a 92 in Closing the Gaps.

Ranked Among the Nation’s Best High Schools

The three campuses also have earned national recognition from U.S. News & World Report, ranking among the publication’s Best High Schools in the nation.

The recognition includes:

• Harmony Science Academy-San Antonio
• Harmony School of Innovation-Brownsville
• Harmony School of Excellence-Laredo

The national recognition, combined with strong TEA accountability results, reflects the campuses’ commitment to academic achievement, student growth and preparing students for success after high school.

Harmony Public Schools celebrated the start of the 2026-27 school year with the opening of six new campuses, bringing the statewide public charter school system’s enrollment to approximately 50,000 students.
