STAAR Results are Coming

Important dates:

-8th grade retest (Math and Reading) results will arrive May 30th.

-End-of-Course (High school) reports will arrive June 2nd.

-All 6th-8th grade results will arrive June 14th

If your student needs to retest 8th grade math or reading OR an End-of-Course exam (English I, II, Algebra I, Biology, US History), you will receive a letter along with your child’s report card.

Summer retest dates:

US History, Biology, Algebra I- June 19th-23rd

English I- June 19th

English II – June 21st

8 Math- June 20th

8 Reading- June 21st

AP classes are rigorous, yet manageable and rewarding classes. In order to meet the demands of the curriculum, it is necessary for you to complete some work before you come back in August. The College Board Objectives outlined for AP classes are broad and deep. Teachers have the months of August-May to complete all chapters in the textbook prior to AP testing in May. In order to cover the entire textbook, you must dive into our learning during the summer months. You will find the AP summer assignments below for each subject taught at HSASA. Download each subject’s assignment that you will take next school year and complete it by first day of school.

STEM Festival!!!

Harmony Science Academy, as its tradition, getting ready to celebrate another annual science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) Festival. We planned to have this year’s one on May 19th, 2017. HSA-SA has been organizing very successful STEM Festivals since 2013 and joining forces form all across to subjects from STEM to English, Social Studies and Arts to present hundreds of activities that range in complexity to entertain people of all ages. We hope to increase awareness of the critical role science and other STEAM fields play in our world every day. HSA-SA STEM Festival offers opportunities for people of all ages to get involved, help the community, and further explore STEM concepts.
